The Scientific Coalition For Uap Studies And Project Hessdalen Announce Partnership | General Paranormal

“The
SCU
is pleased to announce a partnership agreement with
Project Hessdalen, the longest continuously running multi-instrumented field research
program on UAP.”

The Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU), a data-driven organization of scientists, academics, and research
professionals dedicated to conducting and supporting open scientific
research into unidentified anomalous phenomena

(UAP), released the following announcement:

The
SCU
is pleased to announce a partnership agreement with
Project Hessdalen, the longest continuously running multi-instrumented field research program
on UAP. This international project, located in Hessdalen Valley, Norway, began
in 1983. Our partnership gives Project Hessdalen formal access to SCU’s
scientists, engineers, and mathematicians. In turn, the agreement enables SCU
instrument developers to gain from Project Hessdalen’s enormous experience in
field research of anomalous nocturnal lights and UAP.

Robert Powell, SCU Executive Board Member: “Unidentified aerial
phenomena are witnessed on a global scale. Partnering with Project Hessdalen
demonstrates the international interest in exploring the science of UAP.”

Richard Hoffman, SCU Executive Board Member: “Since the early 1980s,
UAP have made repeatable appearances in Hessdalen, Norway. Erling Strand, one
of our SCU Contributing Members, has engaged in long-term instrumented
scientific studies of this phenomenon in conjunction with numerous other
scientists around the world. The late Dr. J. Allen Hynek, during a visit in
1985, considered Hessdalen a ‘UFO Laboratory’ and was impressed with the
phenomenon. SCU and Project Hessdalen share the same scientific interests and
goals, namely the scientific study of UAP. We look forward to this
partnership.”

Erling Strand, Project Hessdalen Project Manager: “Together, we can
learn a lot about UAP on an international scale. Our collaborative efforts
with the SCU will hopefully one day lead to greater scientific understanding
of anomalous activities.”

SCU promotes and encourages the rigorous scientific examination of UAP,
commonly known as Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). SCU comprises
scientists, members of the high tech and defense industries, former military,
and other professionals, utilizing scientific principles, methodologies, and
practices to advance the study of UAP observed and reported around the globe.

The Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies is a 501(c)(3) charitable
organization. Contributions to SCU are tax-deductible.

Project Hessdalen, named after a small Norwegian valley in the middle of
Norway, is dedicated to the scientific understanding and validation of UAP as
a real phenomenon. Project Hessdalen was established in 1983 and cooperates
with institutions and universities to investigate and understand UAP.
